CPPOB (Cara Produksi Pangan Olahan yang Baik) certificate is an official document issued by the National Agency for Drug and Food Control of Republic Indonesia (BPOM) to certify that a factory's manufacturing facility has demonstrated satisfactory compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice).
PT Sarana Karya Utama, in line with Law no 18/2012 articles 71 and 86, is obliged to meet the Food Safety and Quality Standards in controlling food risks and ensuring food safety. Its fulfillment of the Food Safety and Quality standards proves that PT Sarana Karya Utama has assured the safety and quality of food product it manufactures.
In order to meet the Food Safety standards, manufacturers should apply the system of food safety and assurance, i.e., the Good Manufacturing Practices for Processed Food, which includes: the location, building, facility, machines and tools, raw materials, process supervision, end product, laboratory, employees, packers, labels and product information, deviation, maintenance and sanitation program, transportation, documentation and record-keeping, training, product recall and guidance implementation.
Understanding sanitation leads to concrete efforts in realizing the conditions of hygiene and this is expressed with the implementation in the field in the form of clean up, set up, sterilization, spraying pests, and the like. Therefore, if the destination is hygiene, sanitary is then a real action to achieve those goals. To implement it then there needs to be a system that regulates the implementation of hygiene and sanitary.
PT Sarana Karya Utama earned a Sanitary and Hygiene certification from the National Agency for Drug and Food Control (BPOM) in June 2013 and keeps maintaining the required conditions as part of the awareness participation in assuring quality products that are safe for the community consumption.
Food Safety System Certification 22000 (FSSC 22000) is a robust, ISO-based, internationally accepted certification scheme for auditing and certification of food safety in the whole supply chain. FSSC 22000 uses the existing standards of ISO 22000, ISO 22003 and technical specifications for sector PRPs, which were developed through a wide and open consultation with a large number of related organizations. ISO 22000 certified manufacturers can obtain full GFSI accepted FSSC 22000 certification by meeting the requirements of technical specifications for sector PRPs and the additional scheme requirements.
FSSC 22000 has been developed for the certification of food safety systems of the organizations in the food chain which process or manufacture animal products, perishable vegetal products, products with a long shelf life and (other) food ingredients like additives, vitamins and bio-cultures and food packaging manufacturing.
Only certification bodies which have entered into an agreement with FSSC 22000 are licensed to issue accredited FSSC 22000 certificates. The FSSC 22000 certification scheme is fully recognized and accepted by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) and by the European co-operation for Accreditation (EA).
The independent, non-profit Foundation for Food Safety Certification, based in the Netherlands, retains the ownership and the copyright of the scheme and issues the license agreements for certification bodies.
Benefits of the FSSC certification scheme
The FSSC 22000 certification scheme sets out the requirements for certification bodies to develop, implement and operate the FSSC 22000 certification and to guarantee its impartiality and competence. FSSC 22000 sets out the requirements to assess food safety systems of organizations throughout the food chain and to issue globally recognized certificates.
The FSSC 22000 certificate proves that the food safety systems of such organizations are in full compliance with all the FSSC 22000 requirements including any pre requisite requirements. The added value for an organization with an FSSC 22000 certified food safety system lies in the efforts made by the organization to maintain such system and its commitment to continuously improve its performance supported by regular third party assessments and reviews.
We earned the FSSC 22000 certificate in November 2013 and expressed our satisfaction with the results of the achievement. FSSC 22000 implementation is audited every 6 months to ensure that we have consistently applied the requirements of FSSC 22000.
